the ones with the vertical microswitch use a scew to keep the microswitch in place. I dont know about you, but I have about 44 buttons on 2 panels and I tinker with it constantly. If I had to unscrew that screw (which also means you have to completely remove the whole button from the panel, as that scew is near the base of the button and would be obscured by other buttons) everytime I wanted to tinker with a button, I'd go mad. Stick with the horizontal style. The switch just clicks in and out, which will save you a lot of time.
