How is the brighness compared to a normal PC display and a normal arcade display?

Currently I have an odd setup that lets me see things on 3 displays at once, so it's interesting to compare. The 3 displays are a WG u3100 (ArcadePC), a Princeton 27" XGA, and a normal 27" TV via S-video.

The u3100 and the Princeton are similar in brightness, but the TV is MUCH brighter and the colors more vivid as a result.

What's the brightness on the d9100 like? I think I read in its' spec sheet that it has a pretty high brightness rating, higher than the u3100.

Thanks.

: I would have to concur... I received my 9200 last weekend and am absolutely in LOVE! On top of the VGA connector, there is also a CGA/EGA RGB/Sync connector which allows for direct connections to Arcade Boards also... a little bit of electronic chicanery and you could probably set this beast up to switch between the two upon the flick of a switch...

: The picture quality is, for our purposes, superb... and any worries about only having a max resolution of 640x480 should be dispensed with since the "bad" dot-pitch actually makes the graphics actually look better!! I even tried Quake3 on this thing... now that WAS awesome... I might even have to design a specialty Quake3 panel for my soon-to-be-realized cabinet!

: The downside? Well... yep, the monitor is priced reasonably (for it's size) but is 110+ lbs and is shipped freight which can add to the price significantly... my final price including tax (tag and title?) was $565.00.. Still, I feel you can't really go wrong...

: : Well I dont know where to start, been working on my new cab for about 2 weeks off and on, but today I saw something that totally freaked me out. Brought my Dreamcast to work, with the VGA Box, connected it to my new WG 9200 and it was truly breathtaking. The Butler 2001 has just became a Dual Gaming Cabinet, hell my wife actually likes it. I recently bought an arcade as some of you might recall, now I can literally play 6 of my top 10 games at home not to mention the 1000's of classics. Gauntlet Legends, Rush 2049, 18 Wheeler, NFL2K1 (Not an Arcade game) they look absolutely amazing on the 27" WG 9200 and with its D-Sub 15 pin VGA Connector it is crazy simple to use, just plug it in. $485 plus shipping, if its in the budget, It has my recomendation. Pictures and a web site soon to follow.
