I was thinking of getting an 'ultra impact' the one on retrogames.com board the link is http://209.35.251.70/english/product/ultraimpact.htm
here 4 psx joypads would all fit into the game port and pretend to be sidewinders in MAME or any other emulator. I would use 3 of the psx ports for 2 trackballs that I have, and 1 steering wheel to go on my MAME cabinet. Though I know first hand that to disable the tray icon, and go through all of that, allegro on the other hand has been fixed. Though not an official MAME Dos binary(I know the MAME32 is fine with this, but I don't want to lose valuable FPS in games). I have heard that it is very easy to compile your own version of MAME but is it with a sidewinder fix?! and has anyone already done so?! what are the source code fixes?! I wonder if somehow we could make a new MAME build for arcade cab owners, to help us with features that we need.
