Keyboard Encoder? IPAC?

Hi...

Just starting out, think I am going to go with an encoder to not have to deal with the ghosting and such. Was wanting to get some feedback on the IPAC. Seems like a good enough price. What do people think of it? Enough inputs?

I've also thought about putting a spinner and trackball in it, and that looks like that's another $39.

Any help?
