JimK,

Hmmm. I have the video equipment, but not the knowledge. :-)

As for a keyboard hack video. The basic "hacking" principles are still the same from one keyboard to another. All one would have to do is pick a common keyboard, and point out all the inconsistencies(between keyboards) along the way. The important thing is covering the basic principles of "mapping".(By the way. I also have the Mitsumi keyboard. What was your model number?).

A keyboard encoder may be the best solution for most people, but when it really becomes all encompassing, everyone will be satisfied with one. Then a lot of what is on this site will no longer be needed. One encoder will interface to ALL ports. Handle all imaginable controls. It'll be plug and play. And it will also be completely hotswappable with other input devices, as well as between ports.(Okay, I know I'm going overboard). :-)

Besides. These old keyboards and mice I have are better "financial" solutions, and "learning" solutions than an encoder. :-) I'm trying to learn as much as I can, and buying an encoder doesn't help that goal much. Though I'd still be interested in seeing someone hook it up.(It's the inventor in me). :-)

Cupcakus,

Getting back to the video. A video with specific hardware can help someone who wants to do the exact same project, or at least teach the general principles involved, and perhaps inspire new ideas. It's just that I am not qualified to do something like this.(Though I have quite a few new ideas). I'll have to leave that to those who have done these things before.

Darren Harris(Still waiting for that keyboard hack tape). :-)
