Major changes to The MONOLITH project. AdvanceMAME / Mon-ARC help please. :)

After further research into the guts of a MAME project, I have pretty much given up on using a TV-Out card, due to catastophic failure of the hardware required to make it work properly.

Reading into AdvanceMAME and Mon-ARC, it looks like using a video card to drive an arcade monitor directly, is closer to what I want to build. But I have a few basic questions about such a setup....

Planned System Setup.

AMD K6-2 500
SB AWE64 ISA
Voodoo3 2000 AGP
D-Link Ethernet Card
HAPP 19" Standard Arcade Monitor
AdvanceMAME / Mon-ARC Plus

Q1) Can windows be used with this setup?
(While I intend to run MAME in pure DOS, I would like the ability to launch Windows for file maintainance, and network support)

Q2) Are vertiaclly oriented games possible with this setup?

Q3) Are there any games that simply will NOT work with this style of display setup?
