I'm not LuSiD, but I did re-construct his cabinet thanks to his wonderfull page, and detailed diagrams. The bottom corners of the monitor shelf seem to line up exactly with the top corners of the control panel. I put my shelf in at a 25 degree angle, and then I angled the monitor for a better fit.
LuSiD has no diagrams for securing the monitor, but it should be secured, I used scrap wood to hold it in place.
It really doesn't matter where it goes, as the bezel will cover most of it.
