I'm talking sub-100 dollars. I don't mind small size or fixed frequency. It will only be used for non-arcade, desktop purposes.

: I picked up a 19" Pixie monitor at Fry's for $200 after the $60 rebate ( that I still haven't received ) that I'm currently using in my Arcade cabinet. They also have good deals on Sylvania 19" at Costco for around the same price. I don't think you're going to find too much for less than $200 unless you go for a 14-17" monitor or buy used.

: You can pick up used arcade monitors for pretty cheap but if you're planning on using it for everyday use ( Windows, Netscape, etc. ) I would stick with a computer monitor. My monitor works great with MAME and although most purists would say an arcade monitor was much more authentic you would be hard-pressed to tell the difference between my 19" computer monitor with scanlines enabled under MAME and a 19" arcade monitor exept for the lack of screen-burn. It's also nice to have the degauss feature if you should decide to mess around with changing it back and forth from horizontal to vertical modes.

: : I need to find one cheap. I say cheap because I will (hopefully) be able to run most programs on the arcade monitor using the Blade 3D. It would be nice though, to have a regular monitor to use for updates and such. I don't want to spend a lot though. I looked at pricewatch.com, and all the prices were surprisingly high. Anyone have any tips? Is a Blade 3D to Arcade Monitor interface a good alternative to a computer monitor in terms of everyday use? Thanks in advance.
