Like Prophet said there are other -cough..cough- ways of obtaining Photoshop. But If you are not already familiar with it there is a program called Paint Shop Pro by JASC that is quite powerful and much more reasonably priced for someone that would need it only occasionally as opposed to needing it for business. They also are one of the few software companies that still provide a fully functional downloadable demo of their product.(at least last I checked) Try www.jasc.com and then search for some tutorial sites. I cannot stress that part enough. Seeing tips and tricks on how to use the tools together as opposed to just using the tools makes a tremendous difference.

: First I have to say that your joystick design looks totally kick ass!! I love the fire (sun) under the joystick...nice touch!

: Now I just have to ask this. If I'm thinking of the right software program, I thought I saw it in Best Buy for something like $500-$600!! Is that right? It's an awesome program and I wish I could use it for my marquee design, but I just can't spend that much on a program that I wouldn't use too often. Oh well, Iguess I'll have to come up with something else. :(

: Looks VERY cool again.

: Game on!! Brian

: : I love this program! It's a pity I have not much talent and knowledge of design, because with a little knowledge of Photoshop and some free time, you can create great pictures! I've been modifiying my joystick desing, adding artwork and giving it an astronomical/science-fiction ambientation. I like it, but I'll keep on working on it, creating different models etc. What I'm not very sure is whether these drawings and painting can be created in real life. Maybe with an airbrush...? Who knows.. and moreover it's still a long time before I decide to build it myself.
