This is one of my favorite games too.
In the Arcade, the left hand has an 8 way Joystick.
The right hand has a Spinner, that when pushed down, is the fire button. When the spinner is depressed, you fire and your satalite spins with the spinner. When released, you stop firing and your satalight orbits your body with the spinner.
Rapidly tap the spinner without spinning and some of your energy is used like a "Smart Bomb", with everything on the screen taking damage. Use it too much and you run out of energy and die.
When I made my control panel, I made Joy 1 a top firing Joystick. Then the Spinner is for X-Axis. I can then play Forgotten Worlds with one hand on the Joy, and one on the spinner, and thumb on the fire button on top of the joy.
This works great.
