>and I don't care about games running at 55 or 53 fps, since I haven't found any. Anyway, I'll keep on investigating Advance Mame, in search of some bebefit, which I don't really know what it could be.
------------------------------------------

Allow me to give you some examples:

Games that run at 53 Hz
- all the Williams MK hardware stuff

55 Hz
- all the Irem R-Type based hardware stuff

Plus there's MANY more games out there that use any variety of 53, 55, 57, 58 Hz etc. IF they scroll, it won't be arcade smooth unless the monitor is also running at that Hz. Plain & simple.

As for other reasons to use Advance MAME, take a good look at all those horizontal games that are being shown in square boxes. Or count how many times you need to fiddle with monitor controls to get the displays in vertical games to better bit a vetical area. I KNOW there are some games you will not be able to see full screen or correct aspect ratio no matter how much you fiddle with the monitor. With Advance MAME I never touch the monitor, and all games are displayed precisely the way they are supposed to look. MAME32, or even plain DOS MAME, cannot make that claim.

It all comes down to how important accuracy is to the user. If you're a casual user who just wants to play a game or 2 then you won't care. If you're a hardcore user who's not happy unless everything is just right, you will. Use what makes you happy. That's all that really matters in the end.

And I told you triple buffers are the stuff. ;)
