I have a small program you can run ( can't remember where I found it ) that will tell you what your keypresses are ( including ctrl, alt, etc. ). E-mail me if you would like me to send it to you; it's what I used to troubleshoot my KE72 connections.

: A couple of my inputs on my KE72 aren't working (or, at the very least, aren't doing what they are supposed to).

: My plan tonight is to map every input on the KE72 with a keycombination resembling it's input # (i.e. IN01:[1] [Enter]) so that I can hit every button and move in every direction on my sticks and see which inputs are which.

: Assuming I do this and I still get no feedback from, say, moving the joystick left, I assume I have a problem with my wiring for joystick left. Can I hook a multimeter to the NO pole of the switch and the ground wire on the KE72 and do a continuity test?

: Is that the best way to troubleshoot these kinds of problems?

: Also, is there any kind of DOS app that will put the keyboard on the screen and show which key is being pressed when I push which button?
