: What I was asking was if I connected to the NO :and ground for the buttons generating no input :at all I should not get continuity UNLESS I :press the button.
This is correct.
:Therefore, if I press the button and continue to :get no continuity then I know I have a problem
If both leads of your meter is at the switch
then the switch is bad / misadjusted.
:... But... is the problem with the ground wire :(unlikely) or the hot wire?
Check continuity between the ground on the
"broken" switch and the ground on a working
switch.
Then check the bad switch's "hot wire" to the
KE72 for cont.
: Basically I'm trying to find the easiest way to :troubleshoot lack of signal at each point. My :connection setup is as follow:
: Buttons and joysticks to a DB25 (female)
: DB25 (male) connected to the end of an IDE cable which is plugged into the KE72
If you find a bad connnection you'll need to
determine what side of the DB25 it's on.
Hope this helps,
