Maybe not what you wanted, but have you tried mm? The Advance MAME frontend? I used to be an ArcadeOS user too until I started using mm. It's very simple and powerful, and won't give you any configuration problems. It's fast, has some great features and is very versatile. Check it out at the Advance MAME site. Personally I love it!

: I got a Trident Blade3D card and it seems to have solved all my video woes. However, I've also started fidgeting with AdvanceMAME and have run into two minor problems...

: 1) ArcadeOS is hosing up the MAME.CFG file when it runs. My MAME.CFG is 4558 bytes until I run ArcadeOS, then it gets lopped off to 4200 bytes and AdvMAME complains about invalid modelines and such. Anyone seen this or know of a fix? I'm using version 2.43. I plan on posting this question on the ArcadeOS board as well.

: 2) the vga.exe utility in AdvanceCAB doesn't seem to pay any attention to the /c switch that's supposed to tell it the config file to use, it just complains about not being able to find vga.cfg even if I specify "vga /c c:\mame\arcade15.cfg" for instance. This makes it pretty difficult to load it in config.sys. Any ideas?

: Thanks in advance for anyone/everyone's help. I've just about got this thing to the point where I can invite some folks over to play on it!
