My controller is 4 player and can do what you want.

I built it to do just what you are talking about. You can hit any of the 4 coin buttons to register the different players like in Simpsons, Gauntlet, TMNT etc..The link to my page is below..

: I found a broken (monitor or PCB, can't say which) X-Men arcade family 4 player cabinet sitting uselessly amongst working arcades (Mortal Kombat and a couple other crappy ones) at a local laudromat. I might buy this one, but this Hispanic lady said she have the phone number for the operator who might sell to me, but was too busy and told me to come back later in a prude manner.

: Can it be possible to wire the four player to the keyboard encoder to the PC, or is there anything to get it to work with a computer running MAME DOS? There are ROMs with four player feature such as T.M.N.T. and Crime Fighter. I'd love friends to join as team effort, it would be a blast.
