For my cabinet I use MPXplay which is a DOS based
program. It is simular to Winamp. You can use normal mame controls to play
songs eg. arrows keys up and down then space to play the selected song ESC to exit. I think remember reading on the IR2PC remote control web site you can use the IR2PC to control on this program as well.

To use the program I just made a file called
S.BAT

CD ..
CD MPX
MPXPLAY -FS
EXIT

So if you exit Arcadeos via the DOS Shell then
pressed player 2 button 2 (S) then Start 1 joystick 1 Right for Enter. It would run MPXplay
and exit back to ArcadeOS when finished.
The -FS switch may not be needed I needed for
the screen to fit on the arcade monitor.
