Have you tryed reseating the rgb/sync connector on the monitor? It sounds like your monitor is getting no video to it.

: I just recently purchased a Soul Edge JAMMA cab (cabinet and game.. $195, not too bad of a deal).. and after getting it home.. It was working great. I had to tighten some controls, and a few cables were loose, but that was easily fixable. So yeah, that was great fun, until I shut it off last night. (I was watching a movie, so I figured, more dark = better movie watching)
: After the movie, I go to flip it back on.. no video. I was getting a high-pitched whine when I turned it on.. and after messing around with the controls, I found that it played blind. I got sound, the controls worked, just no video.
: Well, just to make sure it wasn't the game-board, I threw my Tekken 2 in there. Same deal. Got sound, and could start a game, but no video. Still that same whine.
: And I'm still getting that right now. I've checked all the cables, everything appears to be going to the right places. I looked at the physical monitor itself, the CRT filiment is lit, so the monitor is getting power.. and when I shut it off, I get a little flash (you know, the normal thing that you get when you shut an arcade monitor down)
: So my question is this.. Do any of you have any clue as to what's going on with my monitor? Does this sound like something stupid that I'm overlooking or something serious? Do you think that getting a cap get might solve this?
