As far as I know, there are no "contrast and compare" articles out there. If you want to know how well a specific monitor works with Mame, search for it's name and model in the Message board and the archives.

: I asked this question in a thread below, but garnered no responses, so I'll give it one of it's own:

: Has anyone published a contrast & compare regarding the types of arcade monitors available? I am in a unique situation where I want to get my cabinet back it its original state, but I will someday convert it to MAME.

: I currently have a Wells-Gardner 25" CGA 640x200 monitor that is need of a new chassis which can be had for $110. How will this monitor perform under MAME? Can I run hi-res (newer) games on it, or should I go for a new one that supports higher resolution?

: It must be a 25" monitor, and it must be able to run JAMMA(+) PCBs without a convertor between the board and the monitor.

: Thanks for your time,

: -Matt
