Hi,
I haven't seen this myself - but I'll check it out for the next release.
I haven't even downloaded 0.35 yet as I'm travelling on business at the moment.

Yep - ArcadeOS writes to MAME.CFG - it's to avoid problems with the command line getting too long.
Especially running under pure DOS.

As for mailing lists etc. -
I haven't setup anything like that.

Does anybody want something like this ?
or an
ArcadeOS message board ??

Brian

: BTW, if there is a proper ArcadeOS mailing list or something, forgive me.

: I am having trouble getting ArcadeOS v2.30 and MAME 0.35 to work together well. I've got my global MAME config in MAME.CFG. Now if I try and overide a global config for a particular game (like vsync), it does not seem to take affect. It's like the local config is not properly overiding the global config.

: Since I display the command line arguments and nothing gets passed in to mame.exe, I'm guessing AOS replaces MAME.CFG with the local options. In fact, there is a file named "C:\MAME\AOS$$.CCF" that seems to have the correct local options (i.e. vsync=no). But it is still not taking affect.

: Any ideas? Do I need to setup something special in MAME.CFG? I think I had this working on an older version of both ArcadeOS and MAME and I'm sure it must be a config problem of mine somewhere. BTW, I'm running Caldera DR-DOS, too.

: -Dave
