yes, you CAN use a stick, but i wouldn't think you'd want to. reason is, you can move left and right, but nowhere near as FAST. try playing Arkanoid in mame on a keyboard or with a joystick and you'll understand. on the arcade machine with a spinner you can move the paddle fast enough to almost not see it. and it just feels more precise. so, your gameplay may suffer, not just that authentic feel.
