Different cable/sync for monarc/advancemame ?

Could it be i would need to use a different cable for monarc/vsyncmame and advancemame ? i am using a homebuilt vga to scart cable, advancemame works fine, vga2pal works fine but monarc and vsyncmame don't display a synced signal.

Something with hsync/vsync maybe...any suggestions ?
