I have a feeling your laptop is just converting vga signals to svideo, so it's not using tv scan signals from the PC's card. That explains what mv is telling you I think - try setting up a plain old vga 640x480 in mv and see what happens on the tv out. Depending on how limited your laptop's graphics card is, you may not have an ideal environment for advance mame.

: Yeah I know it's me again! :) When I run mv.exe the displays that should work with my video card are shown in green right. Well I can only get the ones named bios to test on my t.v. and not any of the arcade or ntsc ones that are green too. Shouldn't those work too since basically the t.v. is like a standard res. arcade monitor? Or should I treat it like a P.C. monitor since it's coming from the s-video connection. Thanks for any advice! Don't worry, I'll get this eventually. :)

: Thanks!! Brian
