I also leave my 17" multisync on (in standby mode at night) for long periods of time (>1 year) without problems. However, with the 19" I use for my arcade machine, my monitor doesn't seem to recognize when I turn on the PC -- so it never comes out of standby mode unless I reach in and push the power button manually. Any thoughts -- what message must my video card send to the monitor to automatically take the monitor out of standby mode?

: : Hi all! I recently purchased a used 20" multisync monitor. This thing works great. I have increased/adjusted the size of the picture as much as I can since most games and advancemenu don't go to the edge. Also, I have a relay attached to my PC power supply so that when the PC is turned on, it turns on accessories plugged into a switched outlet. One of these acc. being the monitor...however, when the monitor is "unplugged" for long periods (a few hours?) it goes back to default settings i.e. the non-adjusted screen size. SO...my alternative is to leave it ALWAYS on when the cab is plugged in. Anyone have any views/advice on whether this is a good idea for a monitor to be in standby mode for days...weeks?

: : Thanks in advance,
