At work, I usually leave the monitor switched on so when I turn off the computer at the end of the day, the monitor goes into standby mode. I've probably left it like that when I've gone on vacation. I've had no problems with the monitor. It was made in 1997.

: Hi all! I recently purchased a used 20" multisync monitor. This thing works great. I have increased/adjusted the size of the picture as much as I can since most games and advancemenu don't go to the edge. Also, I have a relay attached to my PC power supply so that when the PC is turned on, it turns on accessories plugged into a switched outlet. One of these acc. being the monitor...however, when the monitor is "unplugged" for long periods (a few hours?) it goes back to default settings i.e. the non-adjusted screen size. SO...my alternative is to leave it ALWAYS on when the cab is plugged in. Anyone have any views/advice on whether this is a good idea for a monitor to be in standby mode for days...weeks?

: Thanks in advance,
: John
