Charlie,
People on this board are generally very helpful in answering questions. So why have you not had any replies to your many posts?
The problem is, once your questions have been decoded, what you are actually asking is one big question ie: "Tell me how to do a keyboard hack" (or was it a joystick? It's difficult to tell.) That will not get answers. It's good to see people wanting to try this kind of thing to learn how to do it an accomplish something, but you have to do some studying to learn! Then if you get stuck and have specific questions to ask, you will get answers.
This is a good place to start: Marshall Brooks' excellent Keyboard Hack Info article:

Good luck!

: while looking at a keyboard matrix and testing the diffrernt combinations of the matrix, how do you know which soder spots will fry the circuitboard when combined. how do you tell where the x and y asis are on the matrix??? are the x and y on the same side of the circuitboard(i would imagine so)??? just to let you know i am connecting the ribbon cable to a keyboard hack or circuit board and connector blocks so i can change the controls easily. one other thing, while hooking up a joystick to the connector blocks, i know i connect up on the joystick to the combination that pushes up on the circuitboard and after i get all four directions wired to the joystick, do i somehow connect the 4 ways on the joystick so it makes a circle.thanks for the help
