Yikes. Is there a free PCI slot on the motherboard where you could plug in a different video card and not use the one that's on the motherboard?

Outside of that, I would try forcing MAME to display at the resolution of whatever game you're trying to play (you can get that from one of the first "info" screen that comes up when you launch a game).
