I don't think that'll fix his problem. I noticed the same thing. I set up 3 screenmodes in mm and all are fully visible. While trying out some games i noticed some games were using a bigger area than the rasters in mv(most notably the sega games like outrun and alien storm).

: Put this in your mame.cfg file and see what happens.
: MAKE sure you don't have a modeline 9 already, if so change the number I gave you to one you don't have.
: Use my mame.dat file under NICK(Advance MAME download) folder to change the video setting to vertical in the ArcadeOS menu.

: modeline9 = vertical vbeline(4194 6.1677 312 328 352 392 223 234 237 262 -hsync -vsync)

: ALSO try just running mame pacman in dos and see what it does too. It maybe a ArcadeOS cfg setup problem.

: : I'm using ArcadeOS 2.41 with AdvanceMAME.37b9 and an ATI video card on a 25" 15.75KHz arcade monitor. I've run the thingy in AdvanceMAME to determine all the resolutions and scan rates that work on my monitor. Now when I launch a vertical game like Pac-man, it looks like it's going to fit perfectly... the bounding box around the info screen that shows the screen size fits on the screen perfectly... but when it gets to the actual game there's a huge bunch cut off the top and bottom. I don't get it. If I look at the game info, it shows that it's only 224 pixels tall, and the video mode that AdvanceMAME is selecting says 320x242 or something like that, which is more vertical pixels than the game needs. What's the deal?

: : Thanks for any help.
