i dunno man. "feels almost like sandpaper?" One would think that it would tear your wrists up. i'm not sure exactly what you're talking about, but maybe that grip stuff they put on skateboards? if so, then check out your local ace hardware store. mine carries them in about 6 inch wide strips (you can cut to length..) i sincerely hope that not what you're talking about, unless your wrists are extremely tough.. hope this helps, tho.
