My monitor spends a lot of quality time on its side giving me many hours of full screen varth and 1941 pleasure.
It could explode any day and mangle my face with shards fo flying glass. I figure its worth the risk :-)
Seriously - I find that the colors go funny after a while but theat is the only problem I have had so far. Thats not to say that your monitor won't explode if you but it in its side, but mine hasn't. Yet...
