: In case anyone else had this problem...
: I just recently purchased a Hotrod SE, and it works great with MAME, Retrocade, and other emulators, but one of the main reasons I bought the SE model was so that I could play fighting games, such as Mortal Kombat 4 and Tekken 3 (using Bleem). The problem I encountered was that the upper middle button on the Hotrod was mapped to the left Alt key, and in Mortal Kombat IV, that key, when pressed, would make the screen get smaller, and in Bleem, would, when pressed at the same time as another key, make the sceen blank out or even start pulling down menus. I fixed the problem by downloading a keyboard remapper that was part of Kernel PowerToys (search in Yahoo), which enabled me to remap the key to Control. Unfortunately, this is another one of the Hotrod keys, but at least it won't start messing up the screen, and many games don't need that many buttons. To use them all, such as in Mortal Kombat, I would expect that another key remapper program would allow you greater control.

Thats the problem with non programmable controllers :(
