Thanks for the advice! Very helpful. I've narrowed my choice down to the Klipsch v.2-400, and the Cambridge DTT2500... Anandtech did a head to head comparison here. Any opinion between the two? I'm thinking the Klipsch just due to the horsepower and sound clarity, but the extra controls/functionality of the Cambridge is tempting...

: Heh, that's OK. I just realized today my Mic2 input hasn't worked since I last put my PC together...
: I missed an entire row of pins while plugging my Live Drive in ! Duh

: : I've found that all cards manufactured after Oct. of last year do have the digital jack. All of the electronics were already on board, so Creative decided to add the jack and released it. Their documents refer to it as the Value Digital, but they did not change the retail name.
: : Thats what I get for not verifying information from a year ago.

: : : The other cards have 5 1/8" jacks...
: : : I don't own a Value, but that yellow digital connector exists on ALL my cards purchased within the last year (A platinum, 2 X-Gamers, and an MP3). I have compared all 4 of these cards and they are identical in every respect. I suspect if the Value also has this then it is the same as well and the FPS-2000 speakers should be great for it.

: : : : There is a special version of the Value (Value Digital) that has a Yellow connector for digital output. I don't know what kit this card comes in but it seems it does exsist. It may have replaced the original Value, as I did my research over a year ago.
: : : : The other cards have only 4 1/8" jacks

: : : : Front/Line out
: : : : Rear
: : : : Mic
: : : : Line in
: : : : Joystick

: : : : : My value card has 3 speaker outs... Speaker 1, speaker 2, and digital out?

: : : : : : : I knew the Value was a bit different from the "normal" Live but I didn't think it was that different. The Platinum, MP3, and X-Gamer are all identical cards. Of course the new Live 5.1 is different yet again.

: : : : : : All the cards are identical. The Value, MP3, and X-Gamer come with different software bundles. The Original Live has a second 'daughter' board connected by a ribbon to bring the digital I/O out the back. The Platinum and new Platinum 5.1 have a 5 1/4" drive bay unit to bring the I/O to the front.
: : : : : : Again, they all have the same base card, only the more expensive units have extra hardware.
