Im not really an electronics wiz. I got my tinker'ers experience from taking apart every mechanical toy that I recieved as a child :) heheh My mother was Not happy!
Ive been facinated by computers ever since I was introduced to a commodore vic 20 - playing munch man... or something like that. (I was like 6)
At later ages, I tried my hand at programming, but after several attempts, i realized Id never be as good as I needed to be - to create the kinds of designs that Ive been dreaming up ever since I saw my first game. Now that Im older, and wiser, Ive realized that Im really good at designing, and I just need to find a good team to build what I design.
Ive owned a c64, amiga 500, and several console systems. Im pretty disgusted at the current game situation. All these 3d games, with no gameplay at all :( I do like some of them, but as a whole, Its pretty bad. I guess Im an 80's child :) Mame is one of the only reasons that I bought my PC, and Im soooo happy now!!!
I owe some of my experience of arcade parts to the 2years I spent in the trenches as an arcade manager. But, I got almost all of my computer interfacing knowledge from this page!!! A million Cheers for Saint!!! Hip! Hip!... Hurray!
Im currently trying to put together a team to build a super high quality 2d remake of a great classic arcade game. (anyone out there?, mail me!) Also, I may have come up with a design for an arcade quality Disk of Tron spinner, which I may end up selling over the net! :) Anyone interested? How much would you pay for one? In kit form, or in a shell?
