I know that this should probably be posted somewhere else (like the ArcadeOS message board), but you guys here are always helpful, and insightful. Plus it is easier to monitor just 1 message board, than bunch of them.
Anyway, last night I finally jumped from Mame 37b6 to the latest 37b9. At the same time I jumped from ArcadeOS 2.36 to 2.42. I like the new features of ArcadeOS, but whenever I try to run a game, I get an error message telling me to configure my sound card. I double (triple, quadruple) check my sound settings, and still nothing. I am using a Sound Blaster AWE32, and when I select it form the sound card list, I get the error, I check the settings and it is back to a plain soundblaster. I wouldn't care, but it doesn't work either. I deleted everything out of my ArcadeOS folder, and installed it from scratch, same problem. I went back to 2.41, same problem. I went back to 2.36, it works fine. I am noow back at 2.41 trying to figure it out.

One other odd thing that I noticed was that when I went in to the default configuration menu option of ArcadeOS, everything was garbly-gook. A lot of spaces and ..... and random words that appeared to not be related to any sort of settings. I exit out of ArcadeOS, and go back in. It looks normal, but I have my whole sound problem I was talking about.

PLEASE HELP!!!! You folks are great help for some of the strangest things, so I know that I am asking the right group.

A BIG thanks to anyone that can help!
