: I've re-checked my wiring, and it's all good. :Plus, like I said, if I'm in Notepad or KeyHook, :dropping the coin triggers the "5" or "6" every :time.

: But, here's where it gets weirder:
: If MAME is running, even hitting the "coin :button" (which triggers a "5") is kind of flaky. :I have to hit it twice just to register the first :credit, and then after that, it'll register the :credits.

It sounds like KE72 is only sending the press
codes. Programs like notepad will display a
'5' on every keypress regardless of the lack
of release codes being sent. However, MAME
will ignor press codes that don't have a
matching release code.

That's why the good coin button has to be pressed
twice the first time. I don't know why the KE72
is not sending the release codes on the coin
switches, but I'm pretty sure that is the problem.
