...and I'm having no problems with any of the buttons, sticks, or coin door. Do you have the repeat function set for the coin door? What did happen to me is when I first connected the KE-72 I ran it with the default cfg to test that my buttons worked. They showed up in notepad and keyhook with no problems but MAME would not recognize some of the controls in the game and some were just plain "flakey". When I programmed the KE-72 with my configuration I used the "" repeat function for every switch. After that everything works flawlessly! -Hope that helps!

: I've re-checked my wiring, and it's all good. Plus, like I said, if I'm in Notepad or KeyHook, dropping the coin triggers the "5" or "6" every time.

: But, here's where it gets weirder:
: If MAME is running, even hitting the "coin button" (which triggers a "5") is kind of flaky. I have to hit it twice just to register the first credit, and then after that, it'll register the credits. I tried this with the coin door, and the same thing happens: if I deposit two coins one right after the other, it will give me a credit; otherwise it acts like nothing happened.

: I guess the real weird thing is that it only happens while MAME is running. If I'm in Windows or DOS all of the buttons and coin slots work without a hitch, but when I'm in MAME, there appears to be some kind of "lag" with those inputs. Does this make any sense to anyone? I hope so, because IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS!
