MON-ARC versus ARCADEOS...what are the advantages?

I am happily using ARCADEOS with a 25inch arcade monitor. I am using an older ATI card on a p3 500 with 128 megs of ram.

I am looking at increasing my performance by upgrading to a newer video card and I have heard a lot of talk about MON-ARC and the VOODO 3.

My question, what are the advantages or limitations of using MON-ARC instead of having ARCADEOS (with an ATI card) set the video modes?

From reading the documentation, it seems that MON-ARC can use VSYNC MAME and still be run with ARCADEOS.

From the message board, I see that people are running MIdtown Madness 2 and NFL BLITZ 2000. Are these being run under windows using MON-ARC? The MON-ARC page indicated that it will run DOS games quite well.

Thanks for your thoughts and for clearing up any confusion.
john
