sneskey works with a psx gamepads or not(how)

hi folks, i want to know if the sneskey program works with a sony psx gamepad, because i want to hack that controls for my arcade cabinet, for 2 week ago i tried to config and install the sneskey
in my pc in the autoexe.bat, my gamepad work ok in windows mode with the directpadpro without problems but in dos mode my pads not works, please helpme and tellme how i can to install the sneskey program step by step
