PIII noticeably faster than K6-2

I would go for the PIII over the K6-2.

I ran some tests between a K6-2 350 and a Pentium II 233. The PII beat out the K6-2 on games such as Mortal Kombat and Smash TV by a noticeable margin. I can only imagine that a PIII will leave an even larger gap between itself and the K6-2.

I remember reading that the K6-2 does not have that good of a cache and memory architecture, which is why it is slower than Intel chips of similar and slightly higher clock speeds. The K6-3 is slightly better, and I believe it is pin compatible with the K6-2.

So my order of CPUs (for you) would be PIII, K6-3, then K6-2.
