Read the M37B8 what's new file (http://www.mame.net/whatsnew.html). Looks like the "major changes to the memory interface" etc. caused some troubles but hey it is a beta, remember!

I must say that I am totally facinated that a project like MAME is as bugfree as it is in it's betas considered the constant changes to the code and the architecture.

I run M36Final in my cab right now and I woun't upgrade until the final version of M37 is out. I just collect and wait...

The one that waits for anyting good can't wait to long ;)

: alot of things were broken with this release, a new implementation of the way mame handles certain things was put in place(cant tell you exactly what, but i know some are known issues reported in bug reports) guess we will have to wait for next beta release to see if they are fixed. I sure hope so.
