: I'd like to know what are the latest 2D systems (emulated or not) that can be still be seen at the arcades. Since recently 3D rules everywhere, modern 2D games have lost popularity. I know CPS2 and their games, and I'm very impressed to know that it even has games released in 1999. I also know CPS3, but I think it's 3D (I've never seen any game). I also know SEGA System32, which it's still not emulated, but I only know one game: Golden Axe the Duel. Of course there's no need to mention the Neogeo/MVS, which is one of few 2D survivors that have had a great success. Do you know where can I find more information about the 90's 2D arcade machines and games? Thanx!

: PD: Anyone has an idea of what's the meaning or origin of the word coin'op? OK, coin I understand, but what's the op?

Don't have an answer for the other questons but
I think Coin Op stands for coin operated.
