: : I know about the MAMESET.ZIP file that will remap the player one buttons, but what about Insert Coin and 1-2 Player start buttons?

: With a limited number of buttons, how DO you accomodate the differences between the two emulators?

: Take Dan's example: if you map your "insert coin" button to the 3-key, how do you insert a coin when running Callus (short of taking the keyboard out of the cabinet and hitting F3)?

: In in the process of transferring gigs of ROMS to my dedicated arcade PC (thank god for LapLink), but I still don't know the answer.

: Hoping you'll save me a lot of trial and error,
: Joe

Callus let's you remap the F1,F2,F3 keys to 1,2,3
just use -altkey as a command switch

Callus also let's you remap all of the player 1 and
2 controls to anything you like, even different
sets for different games.
They keys are stored as scancode values in it's config files

The only problem is that it won't let you remap
th 'GUI' button (space) or Alt-Q (quits the emulator),
which is a problem as these 3 button clash with
standard MAME keys

- you only need to remap MAME's player 1 button 3
(space) and either player 1 button1 (alt) or
player 2 button 3 (Q) to avoid bringing up the
gui or accidentally quitting out of Callus.
