A while ago someone suggested hacking a Nyko Dream Master gamepad because the two triggers are also mapped to digital thumb buttons. I've seen them for $15 at Electronics Boutique.

: I'd like to build my own cabinet or convert one (if I get someone to sell it to me) and thus make my own 'Dreamcast Arcade Machine'! Sounds good eh? However, I have many doubts about this project, because I lack knowledge of both the console itself and this stuff of building/converting cabinets. The building of the cabinet itself should not be a problem as I have thousands of webpages explaining different ways of doing this. The problem is that most of these projects have to do with PC and old coinops emulators. My questions include 3 aspects: controls, screen and sound. First, I'd need to know how to hack a Dreamcast controller to connect it to arcade sticks and buttons. Second: the screen. Should I buy a TV, a VGA monitor, a industrial RGB monitor? I've heard that the Dreamcast has a VGA output, but I've also heard that not all games work with it, so, is this true and should I discard this posibility? Moreover, the max I would afford is 21'. A RGB monitor, like those Wells Gardner. I have no idea if these are the same as VGA monitors, or use a different connection like audio/video. Would I have problems with games not supporting VGA display in this kind of monitor? Finally, if I chose a TV, what would be the better connection for an optimum quality: euroconector -> I don't know the name in English, here in Europe we use this for better quality for example playing videotapes, audio/video, etc. Also the same problems with sound. I would like to use an amplifier, with a subwoofer, but what should I amplify and how? though the audio connection of my DC, or should I amplify the TV audio output? Sorry for the mess, but I have not much info about these issues. I would appreciate very much if you could answer these questions or you could tell me of any simmilar 'Dreamcast cabinet' project, which would be useful for me to clarify my mind :) Thankyou!!
