Tinted Glass

Has anyone used tinted (or slightly tinted) plexiglass/lexin/whatever on their cabinet? It seems when I've used glare shields for my computer monitor they are somewhat tinted and it gives the screen a very vibrant/arcade style look (in my opinion).
