Hey, lay off this guy! I personally don't play the "classic" games, and all games within the last 10+ years have used larger than 19" monitors - computer, or arcade!
Just because you are stuck solely in the 80's doesn't mean that everyone is. It is a matter of the effect that you are going for.

I checked out the RCA TV too when I made my second cabinet. It was pretty good. My first cabinet has a U3100 in it, and it does work with the "classics" very well, but when I want to play Metal Slug, the bigger TV screen adds to the feel. plus, the whole screen is moving, unlike the maze in pacman or the scenes in donkey kong, so any bleeding is not noticable. I have not detected any noticable artifacts at all. Before you get on your "preserve the 80's" kick, realize that some of us also want to preserve the 90's and beyond in which bigger screens were used.

: What stupidity, HELLO! Most CLASSIC arcade games ran 19" monitors. And your friend who dumped his 19" arcade monitor probably used a hacked RGB arcade monitor from some 20 year old cabinet. I am talking abotu a NEW wells gardner U3100 RGB arcade monitor with VGA cable already attatched and special vga circuits to work with windows. TV out is lame! It has color bleeding, and artifacts all around small sprites. These games were MADE to be played on a real arcade monitor, if you want to play playstation, use a tv, if you want to have a 100% accurate arcade feel, go for an arcade monitor.
