Ah yes, that one uses the 555 method I was avoiding after trying some experiments and finding it hard to tweak. I might try that circuit out and link to that page as a reference. I like the info in there, the digital joystick circuit especially. I saw a page on an IBM site that had gameport specs and a sample circuit that shows how to use the MIDI port. But that doesn't have much use in an arcade cabinet!
