My 2-cents:

I agree with Mr. Arcade -- get a wooden cab with a 25" or larger monitor. Also, look for one that is generic or unpopular as they are cheaper.

I bought my cab at an auction for $250. It was was a working generic JAMMA 3-player cab with a "Run N Gun" pcb and painted black. Other simular cabs were going for 150 - 200 more just because they had graphics and a popular pcb (i.e. Mortal Kombat).
