:
: I was looking through the All Electronics website, and came across 2 parts that they say were originally used in an arcade game. One simply looks like a "Tilt" switch that detects sudden impacts or sustained force in a constant direction. The other actually gives outputs for a tilt front, back, left and right.

: The two part numbers at http://www.allelectronics.com are ATS-1 and ATS-3. I have a link below.

: Their only $0.50 apiece, but I'm not exactly sure what I would use them for. The "Tilt" function might be nice, but I am more interested in the one that gives a directional output. I am not sure where it would be used, maybe in a motrcycle racing game or something like that. Has anybody seen one used in a real Arcade game? If so, which one, and for what purpose?

The middle 2 I have seen in pinball games.
