Oops. Forgot the link.

: I'm "experimenting" with a couple of different options for the cabinet I have on the drawing board. Not that long ago, I tried hooking up my Voodoo3 3500TV card to my Sony 32" Trinitron TV. Since my Sony TV has both composite & S-Video inputs, I tried them both.

: The composite was horrible. Lots of color bleeding & a horribly blurry picture.

: The S-Video looked much better, and I was pleased with the results. I just had to tinker with the brightness, contrast, and color settings, and eventually, everything looked pretty good. I tried it out using arcade emulators (MAME, etc.) and a few coin-op conversion games like NFL BLitz.

: Granted, the S-Video picture is not as good as a true arcade monitor, but this combination came fairly close.

: I wrote a review of my experience with the TV Out options on the Voodoo3 3500 card. I've included the link below.

: : I have tried hooking up a 27 or so inch TV to the ATI all in wonder 128, but I hooked it up via RCA jacks because there was no Svideo on the TV.

: : I hated the quality, I definitely couldn't do anything in graphical windows, and the games looked terrible along with some improper color bleeding.
: : I am wondering has anyone tried both Svideo and composite video and compared it? Right now I'd be against investing in a TV for a cabinet based on what I saw, total unplayability despite other people's satisfactory results, but I haven't seen the Svideo difference. Where can I find some comparisons?
