Help with Two Mice on One Computer

I am trying to run two mice on one computer; a Microsoft Intellmouse using the USB port and a KT27T using a trackball in the PS2 port. When I install both drivers they work at the same time working great. When I reboot the PS2 mouse driver cannot find the trackball or the driver is gone out of the properties menu. Any suggestions on how I can run both a USB mouse and a trackball on the same arcade machine?
