...I simply traced the lines back to the Jamma connector. If you look at a pinout diagram of a Jamma connector (PC2Jamma has it, i believe), then it will essentially tell you what each wire is for.

If you meant that you are trying to find the RGB, Ground, Hsync and Vsync from your CPU, the Arcadium website linked from here in the sample cabs has the proper VGA pinout. The easiest way to track pins to their respective wires in a hacked VGA cable is to use a multimeter and check resistance. Note that these cables are RARELY color coded (ie: blue wire is *NOT* the blue signal, etc.).
